LCS – Some General Thoughts
What do you think about this quote from the Josephson Institute of Ethics:
The older a person is, the more likely she or he will express strong ethical values and refrain from dishonest and unethical conduct. Those over 30 steal, lie, and cheat less than college students. College students, steal, lie, and cheat less than high school students. It’s not that young people do not understand the difference between right and wrong, it’s that they don’t seem to have the character or will to do what they know is right.
So you’ve done something wrong. Why would you confess and get yourself and maybe even your friends into trouble?
We often act like people we admire and respect. Many modern day heroes are admired for their success, not their virtues. What’s the difference?
Why would you want to do the right thing in every situation?
Sometimes you must choose between what you want and what you want to be. Have you ever been in a situation in which this made sense?

I think that this statement is sort of write but I think that collage students cheat lie and steal a lot more that high school students. I would probably not tell because I would not want to get in trouble. I would want to the right thing because when you do something wrong you get this guilty feeling in your gut. To answer question 4 I don’t think I have but I hope I never am.
I think that the reason why high schoolers cheat, lie, and steal because high school is a tough time. You have a lot of tests, especially when your parents are testing you on how well you take responsibility for your own things.
I also think that when you get older, you get smarter and you figure out how to lie well and get away with it.
Adding on to Aidhan High school is a rough time because you have more responsibilities and more freedom. I think having more freedoms make the high schoolers think that they are invincible, When they are really not. I think the people who cheat do this because they are too busy bullying other kids or they are getting bullied themselves.
I agree because High school is tough because it can be tough applying for college.

I think that all of the hormones that come with being a teenager affect our brains and make us do stupid things, that eventually we will learn from.
I agree with Aidhan, because high school is harder. You also have a lot more of peer pressure. Sometimes it is hard to not do something when everyone else is doing it. You also want to do a good job, and you have a lot more to do than just sit and watch TV and you might have a lot more to do, and you won’t have as much time to study. That might be one reason someone would cheat.
I think that all of of these things are bad. Especially stealing because you can take some really valuable things, and that really affects the person.
the high schooler’s and collage students don’t really care and don’t want to do what is right. I don’t think that it is right but the way they do things are interesting, bad but interesting.
I agree with Atticus, but I think that the way that college students act is often not interesting just wrong
