The Perfect Sourdough Bread

During this project of me trying to figure out how to make the perfect loaf of sourdough bread, I hope to learn the science behind baking. I want to figure out what adding more or less baking soda and powder will do to my tasty creation. I want to take this on because I have always loved baking however, I have never put much thought into the background of it. I feel that something so beloved to me should be something I grow to know and understand.

I will think critically about the significance of different ingredients and how they can change the roots of my bread.

My proposed outcome to this project is to bake my way to the perfect sourdough bread. I will be able to demonstrate this successfully by showing pictures and writing about how I changed my ingredients as I went along in this project. I will most likely make a poster with my transformations that includes writing.

In between each update, I am assuming that I will make 1-2 attempts at sourdough. The goal for my final project is a little different than usual because whatever my outcome is, I’m assuming that it will be better than the first I made. If that is so, I have succeeded with my work.

The Rise Of Astrology Update Two

Right now Dylan and I are working on planning out our upcoming podcast as our final way to show you all what we have learned. We are also working out what aspects to put on our poster. We have been educating ourselves about the three signs that everyone has. The sun sign, moon sign, and rising signs! I am also planning on doing another poll on my story, however i’m not sure the question i’m going to ask yet.

Clara’s Circuit Essay

Anyone, a kid, a grown up, a baby can make this world a better place. You don’t have to be rich or powerful to make the world a better place. Even being kind can change the way people think. In the Circuit, by Francisco Jimenez, even a person that seems powerless can make a difference in the world.

Francisco has other thoughts about his dreams and when he realizes he is not focusing he understands a little more about the real world and not his dreams. When he has those thoughts he is thinking about the things that don’t matter so in the book when Gabriel stands up for his rights he snaps out of what he used to think and now he wants to stand up for other people. In the middle of the story Fransico stands up to Carlos and tells him he won’t play unless Manuelito plays. “If Manuelito doesn’t play then I wouldn’t either,” Page 93. This quote connects to my thesis because he stands up for his rights and even though it is a small difference he still did it.

When Francisco doesn’t pay attention to the big things in life, sometimes he notices the small details. When you notice the small details it will get you to pay attention to things that you don’t usually notice. Francisco always notices small things that go wrong but now he has to learn the big things.

In the beginning of the book Francisco notices a small detail that leads him to a big idea. I followed my parents into the car and as mama was about to get in I asked “Can we go see Torito when we fget back,” Mama closed the car door and without answering and we speed off. Page 39. My quote connects to my thesis because he is thinking about his brother and even though he can’t it’s the thought that counts. This shows he can make a difference because even saying one nice thing that can help someone brighten up.

Francisco saves the fish because he wants to make a difference. Even though the fish are just fish he still made them happy by saving them.

Francisco also saves the fish because he has a big heart and he is willing to stand up for anything. When he takes some of the fish out of the creek he is standing up for them and giving them a better home. That means he just made a difference.

There were too many and I could not work fast enough to save them all. I prayed for rain but the sun just keeped beating down, turning the puddles into mud. I picked up one last small dying fish and took it to our next door neighbor who owned the goldfish. Page 50. My quote connects to the thesis because Francisco helped the fish and he made another difference in the world. It was small but he still made the world a better place with every fish he picked up. Even person that seems powerless can make a change in the world in a fantastic way. When Fransisco stood up to Carlos, when he thought about Torito and tried to make him feel better and when he saved little fish from the dying pond everyone of those things changed the world. He made a small difference but it still mattered. He saved lives and brightened someone’s day. All of those from one person out of millions of people. When you think about it everyone is at least doing one good thing and there are a lot of people so it is multiplied until the world is full of good deeds.

Right now in our world we need to stick together and do good things because politics are separating us and making us turn against each other. What if someone that you never liked or that you weren’t close too, did something in this world but you never knew and that thing affected your whole life?

Egyptian Tomb Website

I liked coding my website because I could make it my own even though it has facts in it I could customize it. I didn’t like putting in pictures because you can’t resize them and that can effect what your website looks like.

I learned how to open and close code.

Something I struggled with is putting in bullet points but then I figured it out.

I would like to do this again because it was fun and interesting to do because you can make the website your own.

Shark Tank Population Graph

We are the sharks, we eat animals and the animals eat plants and others. We need to bring animals for protein instead of carbs like breads. The plants and others are at the bottom of the food chain just like the seaweed. From the shark tank simulation we learned that you want a lot of seaweed or whatever is on the bottom of the food chain because the middle animal like the minnows eat the seaweed and when they eat more than enough they reproduce, which makes the biggest animal like us or the shark eat enough so it reproduces too, which makes us full!

My tech infographic

One fact that I learned is that to commemorate the centennial on Friday, shops and eateries will price their goods as if it were 1913 that means a 6-sent loaf of rye bread. One skill that I learned is to place photos in illustrator and getting them big and small. I think it will be useful if I draw a picture and I want text to be on it without handwriting it by myself. I enjoyed this project because it made me explore more. I would like to use Photoshop and Illustrator again because I really like making a picture more than what you see. Like zooming in on one part of a picture. I would like to do infographics again because I think they teach you a lot while letting you see what you are learning about. What I found difficult was changing colors and changing text. I enjoyed cropping photos in Photoshop.

French Activities

In french we studied cognates witch are words that sound and look the same in french and English. We also learned about days of the week, months, colors, food items and pronunciation. In french we did worksheets we learned numbers. We also watched videos about colors and about numbers. We played games in french such as bingo and in that game we had a sheet of numbers and it was really fun because I know numbers pretty well. We also did this activity were we labeled a Halloween sheet with colors and additives in french. Some activity that I really liked were bingo because I have really good memory and you have to remember numbers to get a bingo, although I never won because I always had a bad sheet but it was so awesome. Sharyn is an awesome teacher she really thought me a lot and I never thought I would know any french because I am not that good at knowing other languages she is also so so so nice.
