I really liked discovery day. I thought it was really cool at Google and that we were the first people outside of Google to go into their new office. I also thought what the hacker told us and the sony play space were cool. The hacker told us a lot about the big companies he hacked into and the sony play space had a lot of new cool technology. I learned that working at Google would be really awesome!
I liked making my website. I thought it was a lot of fun. I had a bit of trouble putting in the photos because I kept on putting in the wrong information. I would definitely code a website again.
I don’t like all of the people in NYC. It’s so hard to get anywhere with the streets and subways so busy. It’s also really hard to get a taxi when there’s so many people also trying to get one.
I don’t like it when people leave their dogs poop in the street because sometimes I step in it and that’s really annoying.
I don’t like it when I can’t get a seat on the subway because sometimes my feet really hurt and all I want to do is sit down.
I don’t like it when people let their big dogs off their leash at parks because I have a phobia of big dogs, so I can’t play when there’s a big dogs around.
I invented a virtual reality baseball helmet. It looks like a space helmet, just without the visor.
It solves the problem of practicing baseball in winter. Usually it’s too cold in the winter to play, but with this you can play whenever.
It’s going to be a way to play baseball when you’re tired our it’s too cold outside.
I want for the homework planner something cool, but not to distracting like the one with a lot of video game characters. That one was so tempting not to try to name all of the characters. I liked the ones that had something cool on them, but also with a blank space to draw something. Like one of the planner pages was black and white, and the other was covered with Sponge Bob photos and rainbow colors. That one was cool, but way to distracting.
My idea for the homework planner was my groups idea in D-Lab. We thought for the cover you could draw whatever you wanted, so the cover could be however you wanted it to be. Then on each page it would be a different category. Like on one it would be sports, then food, then you can draw on with other categories like that. We would put photos on the pages depending on the category, so if it was sports that week we would put in pictures like the one below. For the categories we would choose it by the interview post its. Grace, Collete, Meadow and I came up with the idea.
