“Who The Heck Are You?” So Far

We recently started a project called “Who The Heck Are You?”. In the project we are interviewing someone of our choice. After we interview them we have to basically write a piece about them. I chose to do my mom’s boyfriend, Noah because he is an actor. My top five choices of people to do were Noah, my best friend Ella, Lizbeth (from LREI), and Elaine (from LREI). I ending up choosing Noah because I thought that he would probably have to most interesting story.

We starting thinking about what makes a good interview question recently. Now I have a list of questions and I am ready for the interview. These are the questions:

  1. When and why did you move to L.A?
  2. How long did you live in L.A?
  3. Where did you live when you lived in L.A?
  4. Did you feel like you were in a dangerous area or did you feel more comfortable than ever?
  5. Who was your closest friend when you lived in L.A?
  6. What is your favorite memory from L.A?
  7. What was your favorite restaurant in L.A?
  8. Who did you live with in L.A?
  9. How old were you when you moved to L.A?
  10. When did you move to New York?
  11. When you lived in L.A was there someone in your life who was there for you?
  12. Were you an actor when you lived in L.A?
  13. Was it hard to make a living as an actor in L.A?
  14. When did you decide you wanted to act?
  15. What inspired you to act?
  16. If you weren’t an actor what did you do?
  17. Is there someone in Hollywood that you hate?
  18. Who is the worst person you have ever acted with?

We also had to think of a theme for the questions. I chose to focus mostly on when Noah lived in L.A because I have already heard some interesting stories about it and I want to know more. I also added some questions about Noah acting because I think that is very interesting too.

Story Problems!

Sally has a bag of 40 tomatos. The bag is 20% full. If the bag was 100% full how many tomatos would Sally have?

Bob is buying pants. The pants are originally $500.00, but they are 8 1/2% off. How much money is Bob saving?

Igor bought a pair of pants for $18. The pants were originally $150. What percent did Igor save on his pants?

6th Grade Ashokan Trip

This year I went back to Ashokan. One thing I found interesting was blacksmithing because we got to bump air so the fire got bigger. We also got to hammer really hot metal so it bent. I thought it was really fun because we got to do a lot of work. I learned how to survive in the wild. I really liked building a shelter in the woods. Ashokan was fun!

Discovery Day

I think Powerplay was really fun. I was really surprised that it wasn’t super hard to climb the rock wall blindfolded. I thought it was hard to stay standing on the first part of the obstacle course because everyone was jumping and it was really fun. I thought I was going to be scared to do a lot of things, but it was actually really fun and not scary at all. I predicted that I would be really bad at the obstacle course, but I wasn’t as bad as I thought. Overall I think I did a better job that I thought I was going to.

On our way home!

Homework Planner Vote

If we had to choose between the two planners left standing I would choose planner number five because I made it and obviously I like it. I like my planner, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want other planners in the book. I want the winning planner  page to have the first page in the book, but I want all of them to be in there. We could decide the order of the other planners in the book by how well they placed or we could just do the first place planner then the second place planner then the other ones in random order. Each planner would get one week and then we would cycle through again and again.
