I have written two essays so far this year. I think the first essay I wrote was stronger because I had more time to write it. I think a strength I have when writing essays is analyzing the evidence that I include. In my more recent essay about American Born Chinese, I decided to change the structure of the essay. I think this caused me to steer too far away from the book and not connect the book in my analysis enough. Another strength I have is using correct spelling and punctuation. Something I think I can improve on is writing good introductions and conclusions to leave the reader thinking. Overall, I think my writing has improved a lot this year, but it can still become better.
