Ben’s Hero Essay
In rough times, heroes stay positive and open-minded to reach their goals, the goals they are determined to achieve. You get knocked down; you get back up and keep on walking. A real hero is remembered long after they are gone like, Ulysses, or someone who can inspire and teach like George O’Connor. He can make learning fun and cares about his fans by giving them hope and determination for their dreams. A hero shows that everything is possible, all you have to do is believe.
Ulysses is the definition of a hero, remembered long after the grave for his heroic acts. He was determined to get home, not by greed for the throne, but for his family. He heard “Land ho”, saw Ithaca, and then was dragged away, but he kept hope. He refused to give up and be taunted by Poseidon for the rest of his life. A hero reaches for his dream, no matter how far away it is.
George O’Connor reached for his dream and caught it. He took lots of rejection from editors but stuck to his dream. A lot of people don’t really care about history. George wanted that to change so he decided to write graphic novels about Greek mythology. Now kids all over the world read George’s books and know so much more than before. A hero can always see the light at the end of the tunnel no matter how small the light is.
Another hero who can inspire is Adarsh Alphons. He can inspire and give the determination you need to make your dream reality. He teaches kids to trust their instincts and let their minds take them to amazing places. He lets kids find out who they are through art. Their art comes out looking professional which makes kids feel like they’re on top of the world. He really has helped all these kids who now are amazing at art. A hero is someone who people look up to for guidance and love.
A hero reaches for his or her goals no matter how high, stays positive when times are dark, and stays open-minded to ideas that are not theirs. Someone’s hero is another’s foe. There is no such thing as everyone’s hero. Your hero inspires you because of your interests. Your hero is only your hero in your eyes, not everyone’s.
