Welcome to Middle School Music!
The aim of our experience in music class is to explore every facet of music and to learn about the expressive possibilities of this art form by actually creating our own musical works. Some of these works will be done as a class, some in small groups and others will be individual compositions. Along the way we will encounter musical practices of the past and present and exam the choices that music makers from a variety of cultures have made. In addition to performing music vocally and instrumentally, we will create our own works that use the same musical techniques. Instead of following along to what someone else wrote, we will choose to use these techniques as a way to express our own ideas and feelings!
