I feel like the first few days were just me getting everything together. These last couple of days have really picked up the pace. I figure this is gonna be how my weeks play out. I finished the first chapter, started the small design project and almost finished the basic ideas behind my design. I know what I think It should look like, I have a sketch (it’s not great but it does its job) and have started the math for it, I just need to finalize that math. There are so many assumptions I have to make just to get an answer, every equation feeds into the next and there was no clear place to start. But I got there, and I’m kind of proud of where I landed. Of course it was only the first part, I still have a bit more math to do but it’s just grunt work from here. My research has also picked up. After the first few days of just sort of seeing, I finally had some words or phrases that could help me find the things I was looking for. I tried to find academic journals or articles, but because I am not about to pay 30 dollars per paper, all I could access was the abstract. However, that was more than enough. The abstracts are dense and a bit difficult to get through for me, but they hold the basic concepts behind new strategies and that is more than enough. They also give me key words that I can then go search on my own and find full articles on. At least for now, this has been effective. I still have many abstracts to read, go through, and use, so hopefully I’ll be able to get through them in the coming week.
