We did a presentation in front of the middle school about no name calling week, which is a week organized by GLESN that is a week deticated to no name calling, mostly focused around homophobic slurs. After our presentation we showed a video by GLESN about bringing people up instead of putting them down.

We met at Le Pain Quotidien, the one across the street from school. We sat down down stairs and they showed us a folder they had brought for us to look at. We then talked about GLSEN and what they do their and their coming out story until Zariel left to take her Spanish quiz. We then went upstairs and bought them a drink and Stella and I learned more about them as a person and had more of a casual conversation with them, while also staying on topic and talking about LGBTQ+ kids in school and how to deal with homophobic slurs.
