What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
In our interview with Zoe Buckman I learned about the hate that she received for her artwork and for being a reproductive rights activist. She also informed us that In the UK (which is her birth place), abortion is considered a personal choice, and is free to people receiving one. When is comes to abortion, it is the poorer communities that suffer the most when the government defunds organizations such as Planned Parenthood.
