What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
We learned a lot about wage theft, how people get around wage theft, and how they can stop it. He also gave us three more sources to ask more specific questions. He told us that overtime and salary never give enough money and blackmail is a giant thing. there is also harassment with this and it can be an issue, he says one person called a lawyer in because they were constantly asking for documents. In the end Sebastián González de León gave us a lot of information and gave us more sources to ask more detailed questions.
