What I did:

We talked to Dan Lohaus who directed a film we watched called “When I came Home” about veterans who came home from war to become homeless and forgotten.

What I learned:

Well, we learned a lot about our topic from the movie, about the treatment veterans are given when they come home and the benefits they are entitled to but mostly not given. Dan Lohaus talked a lot about Harrold, the main character in the movie, and his experiences after coming home from Iraq. Many others in the movie where from the Vietnam war though.

We learn about social justice work or civil and human rights work from this fieldwork in that we found out about the rights veterans are entitled to but not always given
