What I did:

We interviewed Maxwell Hauptman as a part of our SJ project. This interview was about his time in war and what he does now

What I learned:

We learned more about the benefits of veterans and we got his perspective on what the biggest issue facing veterans is and what we can do to help with these issues.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

Our interview taught us that there are many military veterans coming home and not being able to find jobs. this is one of the issues that we will bring up in the teach-in with him. Him and another veteran, Rashaad Porter will be coming to the teach-in to teach our class alongside us.
