What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

A lot of people care about the rights of all people. People care about the people who have been marginalized, dehumanized, and attacked. People care enough to take time out of their Saturday afternoon and stand in the cold and wait to march.
