Women Moving Millions Communtity Update Call Sit-In

At 2:45 February 5th, we arrived at the main headquarters of Women Moving Millions. Women Moving Millions is a worldwide organization that works to reach out to women in order to help them succeed in business and to help found companies with women CEO’s. WMM is also world wide organization supporting women in business in the U.S, Canada, England, South Africa, Australia, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The mission of WMM is to mobilize unprecedented resources for the advancement of women and girls. WMM has a five part goal. 1) To build a strong community of members who feel that WMM adds value to their lives and who identify with WMM and our mission. 2) Attract new members to the WMM community (and thus new million dollar commitments) through peer-to-peer outreach, partnered outreach (e.g, WFN and member funds, NGOs, donor networks, corporate and foundation members, etc.), and the strength of WMM public presence. 3) Serve the women’s movement
as a whole by being vocal, accurate and powerful voice for the advancement of women and the importance of founding women and girls. 4) Champion greater funding for women and girls by foundations, corporations, government, and the public-at-large. 5) Support broader thinking and actions about how our members can use all of their resources to create a more gender-balanced world. We met Nina Gidwaney, the CEO of WMW, and her team of women in their conference room. The purpose of this conference was to bring people up to date on what WMM has been doing, and to reach out to people and ask them to actively recruit new members to join WMM, so they can get the help and recourses they need to earn the gender equality they deserve. Here, we learned all the ways WMM reaches out to women to help them succeed in business or to help found companies with women CEO’s. In this conference we learned how the brains behind this organization worked. We listened to the team launch new ideas for WMM to embark on. New companies to fund, courses and classes to make, basically anyway to expand the business and to help spread the message and to support
more women in business. The company talked all about what meetings, courses and classes were going to be held in the future and ways to gain more members. The team talked all about what they needed and were going to do. However we wondered, what do we need to do? We need to recruit more members into a women funding women environment.
