The Bullying Effect Group wants to teach you about how LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) youth bullying may have an impact on LGBTQ peoples’ lives. In our society, we are expected to follow a certain characteristic depending on our biological sex. This causes people who don’t conform to these unsaid norms to be discriminated against, whether in school or work. In schools, LGTBQ kids are bullied to the point where they skip school because they are afraid for their personal safety. LGBTQ adults can lose their jobs and their homes completely based on sexual orientation. Our group is trying to raise awareness of the bullying problems LGBTQ people face, so that the bullying may eventually end.
