On December, my Social Justice Group and I met with Susanne on a Skype call. She is a stylist and a feminist that works in Brooklyn and we decided that it would have been interesting to learn what she thought about feminism.
She told us a lot about what clothing means for a women and how it describes a women. She told us that every women, when she chooses her outfit, creates an experience that spreads positive energy, because every outfit is visual language used to express yourself. She thinks that slut shaming depends by what others think of the person and everyone has a different reason why they are wearing something, slut shaming is just a way people prejudges prejudges someone else.
Clothing is something that every women have in common and something every women can relate to. This helps every women to make choices for themselves.
It was really interesting hearing Susanne’s view about the ways women choose their clothes and how, even if it doesn’t seem so, it is important.
