On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving the war and violence group visited the Intrepid Museum to meet and interview the head of the Fallen Heros Fund. Their goal is to raise enough money to open five Brain Injury Hospitals for veterans around the U.S.. We asked him several questions about our topic and was a real relief to finally meet him. We learned that many veterans lose their lives due to PTSD. Our group was extremely interested in his work, and I am sure the veterans appreciate Davids help. We asked many questions and received a lot of good information. To help us excel in our ultimate effort, to spread awareness and help people know what veterans need. The one thing veterans want the mosveteran people is their thanks. Soldiers risk their lives everyday their out of America protecting us And others. When they some back home in full uniform, sometimes they are never thanked. “A simple thank you makes a big difference” he said many times.
According to David only enough money for three facilities has been amounted and that is not enough. Please visit the wounded warriors website where you can donate. Tell your friends as well, all we ask is to donate even a couple dollars because it can make a difference.
Our group was given new contacts and organizations we can visit. We will keep you updated after every fieldwork.
Also remember to show your appreciation by saying “thank you” because it means a lot to the veterans.
