During this interview with Alex Schlopey I learned stuff that I really never imaged were real problems in the sports world. We talked a lot about the stress competators have during and before the competitions. He said the adrenaline from the X Games made regular life feel boring. He was so used to all the adrenaline from doing huge jumps and awsome tricks he wouldnt feel the same type of feeling out side of skiing. I think the most important and impacting thing we talked about was the alcohol and partying all these big time skiing participated in. He said that it was normal and everyone would party and get super drunk because they needed that buzz that they got from alcohol just like they did from skiing. But in the end this just negativly affected all there carrers. Some get addicted and some just do it iressponsibly. Alex said the most depressing part of a athletes carrer is injury. Many Athletes sports carrers comes to a end because of injury. When alex was 15 he blew out his knee and became very deppresed, but lucky for him it happened to him when he was young and not in the middle of his carrer. There was one point when Alex was sick and missed one competions, because he missed the tournament all his sponsors dropped him and he became very deppresed. That’s when his carrere started going downhill. In conclusion I learned so much from this interview and it was super helpful.
