What I did and what I learned about my topic, activism, social justice work or civil and human rights work from this fieldwork?

On January 20, we were lucky enough to sit down with Ty, Joanne, and Andy who are, of course, experts on our topic of Mental Health in Teens. We got to hear their stories about why and how they got to where they are today, including hearing about Andy’s role as an intern and his story which was very interesting to hear.

We also were lucky to get a little bit of generalized information about LREI students’ mental health. One of the biggest issues at the high school is sleep deprivation, which was probably my biggest takeaway. It was also interesting to hear about what kind of resources are avalible to students at LREI. Overall, it was great to hear about the behind the scenes of our community’s mental health team, and I really enjoyed this interview!
