Reflection:
What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
One of the main things I took away from the interview that answering the question, is life in prison without parole a better option than the Death penalty, is very complicated. The short simple answer is that life in prison without parole is better because the state isn’t killing the defented. On the other hand, in both cases the defendant is dying in prison, which makes the question complicated to answer. So in they eyes of the atornty there goal is to get the defendant out of the death penalty but neither is a good option.
