Reflection:

What I did:

What I learned:

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

I learned a lot during my interview with my aunt, Nora Hellman, who works at a humanitarian organization called Save the Children. I learned mostly about taking action against my topic, childhood poverty. The best way to take action against childhood poverty is to spread awareness, according to Nora. Many people my age and older have big platforms that can reach a lot of people. It is critical for these people to speak up about not only this issue, but many others as well. This spreads awareness to lots of people and raises the chances of donations, petition signings, and anything else that might prevent the issue in the first place.
