What I did:

We watched a screening about home births and mid wife’s in New Mexico.

What I learned:

I learned about how home births work and that it is very hard to find a mid wife that people are comfortable with. There is only one mid wife that is a person of color in New Mexico. Being a person of color can affect your pregnancy.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

I learned that it is important to share information about this topic and that people are fully educated on it. The people in the movie wanted to share their experience and how home water births are possible for anyone.
