What I did:

We made postcards to send to Florida voters who were felons and could not vote. Wrote 247 postcards to people urging them to support amendment 4.

What I learned:

Amendment 4 re-enfranchise 1.5 million felons. The Amendment needs 60% of Florida votes to pass. Different counties in Florida have different dates for early voters. The difference limits voting. Amendment 4 does not re-enfranchise sex offenders or murders. Florida is one of three states to not allow ex-felons to vote.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

I learned that sending a postcard to someone especially with a handwritten note, somebody is much morel likely to read it
