Vote For the 4th!

Name: Andrei

Social Justice Group: 2018-2019

Date of Fieldwork: October 1, 2018

Name of Organization: Lift every vote

Person (people) with whom I met and their job titles: Molly Harris & Bridgette Olsen

Type of Fieldwork: Direct Action

What I did:

We wrote letters to people who had there signature challenged and declined and told them to “vote for the 4th” so that they would vote to get ex-felonies the ability to be able to vote in FL.

What I learned:

I learned that peoples signatures can be challenged (ex. about 30,000 signatures got challenged), that Floridians can’t vote if they’re an ex-felon and that you need at least 60% of people to want ex-felons to vote to make that change.

What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:

in our first fieldwork, I learned
