What I did:
We made postcards for people to vote YES to help ex-convicts gain their right to vote
What I learned:
I learned that Florida´s ex-felons are not allowed to vote. I learned that people are against the vote and how they got over 30,000 signatures off a list of people who supported because they were not eligible. I learned how important your right to vote is.
What I learned about Social Justice “work” and/or Civil and Human rights “work” from this fieldwork:
Things as simple as postcards can make a big difference in our country. they are able to turn a vote around successfully and give people back their right to vote when most people use them to give others a look at how happy they are on vacation.
