River Project Interview

In my groups interview the River Project, we learned a lot about research and educational side of water pollution, and marine biology. One of their projects are to study oysters in the hudson with the Billion Oyster Project. They also help the community by testing local water sources for any dangerous chemicals or diseases. Their main goal is to make people become aware of the problems at hand and educate them about them as well. Many new Yorkers don’t really think too much of water pollution because they don’t know the full extent of its effects. They say the first step to making a difference is telling people about the problem. Its because of all of this that people donate to the organization to keep it going and doing its job. The River Projects is one of the best places to put your money towards water pollution.

I am an 8th grader at LREI. I am in the water pollution group. I chose this topic because I feel like this topic is important and that we can actually do something about it.
