During this fieldwork we attended a protest against Trump’s cabinet and how they do not believe in global warming. Something that I thought was interesting was the huge age range of the crowd. There were some really old people and some middle-aged people and some young people. I thought it would mainly be younger people because their generation has to live longer with the consequences with Trump. We saw many people expressing how they felt about Trump and his climate change denial. Not surprisingly, no one was happy about this. I thought it was really interesting how they did their call and response chants and that anyone could start it. Most of their chants were about the people’s voice in government. This made me want to learn more about our government and how they treat energy use. A question I had was what is the budget for the EPA?
