At the Mount Carmel Holy Rosary School in Harlem, we helped kids write letters to the donors of the scholarship that they were on. It was not a lot of work for us but we learned a lot about the general mood of the school. The kids told us that they have about a 20 minute lunch period and a 10 to 15 minute lunch period. We got a glimpse of the strictness at the school when the kids took a photo. The principal made sure that all the kids were in the same position down to the centimeter, it took somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes for the principal to set the kids up for the photo. Overall we learned a little bit about parochial schools, and the number of kids on scholarship, which was somewhere around 30 kids.
