On Wednesday, January 13th, both climate change groups went to Albany to go to a climate rally and march. All of us (Ming, Jane, Maisy, Graham, Michelle, Ciro, Brianna, Scott and Danny) met at a Starbucks near the bus station at 6:30am at around 6:45am two of our group members were running late so the CCC group decided to head over to the station first and the other group would catch up later. We boarded the bus and the other groups got on to. It was about 2 hours and 45 minutes to Albany. Once we got to Albany we walked over to the rally. It was extremely cold and there was snow on the ground. Daniel Sherrell invited us to the rally in the first place, we quickly looked for him but didn’t find him. We listened to a few political and non political speakers talk for a while. A couple of them wanted 100% renewable energy as soon as possible. We were handed a few signs and some tiny windmills with the governments phone number saying to call the government and say stop climate change. After about 35 minutes of the speakers talking, we headed inside a building where we walked for a while. Another group protesting minimum wage was also in the building. We got lost a little for 5 minutes, but then we found the group. There were two really long inflatable tubes that were supposed to be pipelines. We picked them up and held our signs. We walked, protesting, for about 20 minutes. After that we were all hungry so we decided to go to the food court and eat. After eating we went to a few booths that were mainly science related. Some of them had renewable energy ideas. After the booths we went to another Starbucks near the station, we went to the station and boarded the bus back home.
