The Food Stamp Challenge was a experiment we did where we found out what it would be like to live on food stamps.
An average person on food stamps gets about 30 dollars a week. Together me and my group did this for a week. We started on Sunday, we went to a small grocery store and bought all our food for that week. Because we where trying to see if we could do this as healthfully as we could so we tried to buy as many balanced ingredients as we could, including vegetables, grains and proteins. Then we planed a menu so we could ration out our food for the week. In my experience the first few days where easy but as the week went on it was harder to keep to the plan. Overall I thought it was a really good experience and doing it I really realized how hard it is to live heathy on 30 dollars a week.
