On Thursday we spoke to Nisan Chavkin. Chavkin works at CRFC (Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago) where he is the Executive Director. CRFC is a non profit organization that helps student and teachers learn about their Freedom of Speech. Chavkin has been Executive Director for 20 years, he got the job by working at Amnesty International when he was younger but he fell in love with the company when he found out his friend was leaving the company. Nisan told us that a lot of children don’t understand their constitutional rights and they help out children that might be going to court to educate them more about their freedom of speech. He says that people can help themselves out by learning more about the Constitution in situtaions because they can know their rights. Mr. Chavkin was a very helpful person to talk to. I wish we got to volunteer at his company, but since he is in Chicago we can not volunteer. Thank You Mr. Chavkin for telling us about you and your company.
