Breakfast With Santa and Mrs. Claus

Winter Break started, but our group didn’t stop! On Saturday, we went to Saint Brigid School to serve breakfast and assist children on paintings and coloring. We arrived at around 11:00, and stayed until around 1:00. My main job was to collect money for the raffle, and serve food. I really enjoyed assisting at this place, and the kids enjoyed being there! They were running around having fun, talking to Santa, eating, and doing arts and crafts! I got to meet the women who organized the event, and they were spectacular. I liked them so much that I donated some gift cards in my wallet for the raffle. They were extremely grateful, which made me feel really good. Overall, this was a very successful fieldwork, and a fantastic way to kick off Winter Break.image1-2

Reggi

My name is Reggi, I am an eighth grader at LREI, Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School in Greenwich Village. My social justice topic is Children In Poverty. I chose this because I am interested in finding the number of children that do not have enough food to survive, and helping them in whichever way we can.
