Beyond Measure was a movie that explained and showed a New schooling technique. It criticized the current public school system that primarily teaches for the test, not for the attainment for knowledge. It described a demoralizing effect of failing on a test for something you didn’t learn. It explains that you can’t judge a person’s academic capability based on answers to a test. The Movie instead proposes a self-driven, project based schooling technique, through which students, build a self-driven mindset, and are given ample room to grow. I will remember the effect it had on a demoralized boy who was considering dropping out going to this type of school and becoming an inspired and active student. It also says that these students perform better on standardized tests because they develop extremely strong problem-solving skills. Overall, this movie was very informative and interesting.
