On Thursday, January 30 my group and I went to Sanctuary for Families. We helped them make care bags for the raid that a few of their staff members were going to go on this weekend. We put clothes, toiletries and pads in a backpack for the staff to take with them. The reason behind the raids, was due to the rise of sex trafficking that went on during the weekend. Due to the Superbowl, that is today, there is a rise of sexual abuse because of the alcohol and drug consumption. This was an amazing fieldwork because we truly were able to help girls. During the fieldwork I began to see the true beauty of this project. Through this project we have been able to meet amazing people and we are been able to help a cause that we are passionate about. In a few weeks my group and I, will once again go on a fieldwork to Sanctuary for Families.
