Halloween is today, but are you still debating on where you should trick or treat? We’ve got you covered! Here are our top five best trick or treating spots in New York City.

1)West 69th Street, Manhattan

“If you live on the Upper West Side, it’s a must to check out this block that is fully decked out in Halloween decor. From mummy graveyards to traditional spider-webbed doors, this block does it right! Police typically block this area off from traffic from 4 pm-10 pm for trick-or-treaters, so there is tons of time to snag candy. Even if you are not planning on trick-or-treating, it’s worth it to take a stroll on Halloween night and admire the spooky decor.” – New York Family https://www.newyorkfamily.com/the-best-places-for-trick-or-treating-in-new-york-city/

2)Windsor Terrace/Kensington, Brooklyn

“These neighboring Brooklyn hoods are packed with primo blocks for tricking-or-treating: In Windsor Terrace, the streets east of Prospect Park West and tucked between Prospect Park and the expressway—especially Vanderbilt Street, Reeve Place, Sherman Street, Windsor Place, Howard Place, and Fuller Place—are Halloween gold. In Kensington, the spookiest street is East 4th Street, between Caton and Church Avenues. It’s closed to traffic and all the residents contribute something to the massive block party. Our neighborhood sources say there’s a guy on East 3rd who sets up a steam table every year and hands out free hot dogs so that the kids have something to eat besides candy. Candy and hot dogs? Count us in!” – What Should We Do https://www.whatshouldwedo.com/blog/best-nyc-neighborhoods-trick-or-treating/

3)West Chelsea, Manhattan

“Kick off trick-or-treating in Clement Clarke Moore Park — known by locals as “Seal Park”— on 10th Avenue at 22nd Street, then walk up and down the decorated brownstone blocks around the General Theological Seminary. The west side neighborhood’s most popular streets for gathering the goods are 21st and 22nd Streets between Ninth and Tenth Avenues; for less of a crowd, head to the houses between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Things kick off around 6 p.m.” – Red Tricycle https://redtri.com/new-york/nycs-best-neighborhoods-for-trick-or-treating/slide/1

4)Jackson Heights, Queens

“Be one of the 3,000 anticipated attendees for the 28th installment of New York City’s second-largest Halloween parade. Participants, along with school groups, marching bands and dance groups will march down to 76th Street, decked out in their spooky attire. At the end of the route, trick-or-treaters will be gifted one of 3,200 bags of candy. Channel your Halloween spirit and join the Jackson Heights Beautification Group for this great event. Thursday, October 31, 5 pm.” – New York Family https://www.newyorkfamily.com/the-best-places-for-trick-or-treating-in-new-york-city/

5)Fieldston, Bronx

“This lavish and scenic neighborhood makes for a great place to go trick-or-treating. With big trees and beautiful houses, this suburban neighborhood will definitely be a great neighborhood for candy.
