My atomic model

In science we have been learning about atoms. In one class we made what an atom looks like us. The picture of my atom is above. I made my version of an atom out of clay. I made a gray ball and I filled it with red, yellow and orange dots in the middle.

My atom resembles Democritus version of an atom. He was the first person to think of an atom. He thought of atoms in 440 BCE. His atoms were little shapes in all one color and so is mine.

I used to think that atoms looked like a ball with something in the middle of it. I did not know what was in the middle of it. Now I know what an atom looks like. In an atom there is something called a proton. A proton is a positively charged part of an atom. In the middle of an atom there is something called a nucleus. That does not have a negative or positive charge.
