War

One day Jack was walking in the forest and all of a sudden he stumbled on a tree root and hit his head on a rock. Slowly, he got up and peered around. He saw a bunch of apes huddling, trying to keep warmth. He started to walk away until snap, it was a twig. The apes turned around and slowly backed up, but one was not afraid and stood out tall and strong in the disdains. Then he realized, it was Congar the ape he took care of.

8 years earlier

In Paris, France, 2005 Jack Stone , scientist of Os-corp was developing a new serum that could make any animal smarter and genetically faster and stronger.

TEST 38, screams the secondary scientist. Next test subjects, apes.

“This one I call Congar,” says the manager. I think it’s going to work on him. Jack injected the serum into Congar and waited until it came into effect. Jack the head scientist walked over to his his boss Jeff and asked him if he could take care of the ape, but Mr. Schall said, “no” in a stern voice. Then all of a sudden BEEP x5, the sprinklers turned on and people started to Avac Kuwait the building. Jack took advantage a grabbed the ape and brought him home. He tried to teach him some tricks before the serum kicked in, but he wasn’t smart enough yet.

That was a dark and stormy night on Friday the 13 and no one could fall asleep. You could see Congar bundled up on the sofa. The next day Jack woke up early in the morning to go to work, but then he realized that Congar was still sleeping. So he picked him up and brought him to Os corp.

“Where’s that ape?” said Jeff the company owner. “We need to see if the serum worked or not.”

Then out of nowhere Jack said, “I have him.”

“How dare you take that ape when I specifically told you not to!”

“But sir…”

“But nothing- you’re fired,” screamed Jeff.

At that same moment one of the test subjects was loose. It was the tiger. It started to race down the hall straight towards Jeff and Jack It leaped in the air and landed on Jeff, it ripped his arm off like it was a twig. The tiger turned around and started to walk towards Jack with blood dripping down his face. Jack started to run, it was right behind him, when it scratched his left shoulder. A split second after there was no tiger, just a pile of bones.

Jack was relieved that the tiger was gone, but how? He thought about it for couple minutes, then Congar woke up.

As soon as he got home the serum kicked in. Jack started small with the training and gradually got bigger. First he taught him how to spell his name, then how to build blocks and lastly he taught him sign language. When Congar got to about 5 years old he got his own room in the attic. Every day he would dream about going outside, but only if he was a good ape.

Then one day he got to anxious and ran outside when was not supposed to. Then he saw Jack getting bullied by his assistant. So Congar ran over and ripped his finger off like it was some kind of food.

“No Congar,” said Jack with a stern voice.

With a confused look Congar said, “Ou ou a a?”

Jack got to work late but it all worked out in the end. He was the nominee for the owner of the company and was trying to figure out how that tiger died. After 2 weeks of studying he finally got it. When the tiger was chasing Jack it got distracted by picture of meat on the wall, as he was running   towards it  he banged into a skeleton. How did he know this? Well, there was a giant hole in the meat picture and the skeleton in jim’s office was broken. So he assumed that it was the tiger.

Everything was going fine when all of a sudden, bang.  The lab was hit by a asteroid. It burned down the whole building and killed 6 men, but luckily Jack wasn’t one of them. Their research was gone with the test subjects. Jack’s future was destroyed and he had nothing to do. Congar was 13 now and he was becoming a grown ape. Jack was worried about one thing and one thing only, if Congar was going to get taken away. Oscorp, was an illegal building hidden in lower Manhattan. If the animal patrol found out they would take Congar away. The next day Jack saw the animal patrol coming to his house, Jack tried to hide, but it was too late they already took Congar and shoved him in a van before jack could realize.  Just like that, Congar was gone.

It was a bumpy ride for for the poor ape  but he slowly learned to hold on and gain his balance. He was pushed out of the van and put into a cage. He soon learned, he was going to war. Well he needed to exercise so they put him in a ragged jungle gym. The mean gorilla Louie, was the bully of the gym, and since Congar was the new ape he wouldn’t stop bothering and hurting him. He even put an orangutan in a cage. Congar started to assume that something bad happened when he was little. When he got a closer look at his face, bam, Congar was right, there was a big scar on his right eye.

He started to make friends with the orangutan and even taught him sign language. He missed Jack, but he soon got over it.

To be continued…

The Circuit Essay

Even though Francisco didn’t have a lot of money he still liked to share the things he loves with other people. Not having money is hard and people do whatever they can to get it. To do that Francisco’s family has to push themselves past the limits and conquer obstacles that no one else can.

All Francisco wanted for Christmas was a ball, but he shows generosity to his family when he didn’t get what he wanted. Francisco saw people playing with a ball and he always thought about playing with one. When Christmas came around and he didn’t get what he wanted so, he just accepted the other gift, a bag of candy and continued through his day. At the beginning of the chapter he thought of fantasies of playing with a ball instead of papa’s words.  “But we are broke too.” page 54. Even though Francisco is poor he still tries to get what he wants by working in the fields and going to school.

When Francisco met Carl he felt like he had a friend to play with and could hang out with. When Carl left he was sad and missed him a lot. Over the year he forgot about him and made new friends like Carlos. Francisco would show Carl his pennies collection and they would trade pennies and hang out. They would always sit next to each other in class and on the bus. When Francisco looked through the window and Carl was not there he felt sad. “ .“

In first grade Francisco had no friends and couldn’t speak English, but stood up to the mean bullie Curtis. Francisco had a rough time in 1st grade. When his teacher Mr. Sims found out that Francisco didn’t have a coat he gave him one from the lost and found. Unfortunately that happen to be Curtis’s coat and he beat Francisco up. Francisco was generous enough to give the picture of a butterfly to him.

“ It’s yours I repeated, handing him the drawing of the butterfly.” page 26. Francisco likes to share things with everyone even with people that he doesn’t like.

Even though Francisco was poor, sharing things is what made him happy. Being poor is hard, but Francisco’s family show’s determination by conquering obstacles that no one else can. Like when he lost his libretto in the house fire, he always has to move and lastly, getting deported. These 3 examples support my thesis because they show the determination and strength of Francisco. This helps Francisco because it teaches him that he is able to conquer anything. I think this relates to me because when I was little I had a hard time growing up. I was changing schools and had to do math with my dad everyday. Besides the math part I think relates to me.

Egyptian Tomb Reflection

I really liked how we got to code our own website! Also, I liked how we got to chose what to write and that you could add a little of hummer. The hardest part was trying to code, but I later got the hang of it and made one good website. I learned how to code my website, and how to make different tags. There were all different kinds, like to make text bigger or to change the font. I struggled to put pictures in my website, but I soon got the hang of it and presented my website to the the kids and parents at the tomb. I would love to something like this again, this was probably the best project we have done all year, and I hope we can do something like this in the future.

Shark Tank population

For the past few days we have been playing a new game called shark tank. In that game we  use three different types of animals, sharks, minnows and seaweed. We had to balance the three out so the populations wouldn’t go extinct. This helps us in the space ship earth because it tells you what each water animal represents  The shark represents us,the minnows represents the animals {chickens, cow and pigs} and the seaweed represents the food that the animals eat.

Tech

I learned that MetLife stadium is the first NFL stadium to have two teams as it owner. I learned how to use Photoshop and how to work as a team with Kate. I could use this skill to help people from other countries, by making more info graphics and posting them up for them to learn more about NYC. I liked this projected because I learned some new stuff about MetLife stadium, like that it is the grossing stadium in the world. Yes I would do this project again, but I would like to do other projects to. I would love to do more info graphics because I could learn more stuff about NY. The most difficult  part was learning how to use Illustrator. I enjoyed making my infographics because I learned how to use Illustrator.

The Atomic modle

unnamedThe name that this compeers to is Rutherford creation witch was involved in 1910. I think mine is like his because he is doing the nucleus and hi has the same idea as me and I ager with him. I have learned a lot about atoms in science class this year. Like how atoms were  the creators of the the earth and how they spread across the earth unevenly and created life as we know it.  I have also learned that atoms are made with protons and neutrons. I have a great time in science this year and I can,t wait to learn more.

My Zoetrope the best one of all

In my zoetrope a person is getting hit by a car and the car dose not care.

I like this project because I never done this before and I want  to make bigger and cooler ones.

This is one of my best work projects because I made it from my mind and I tried to do something that I have never done before.

I wouldn’t work better in my next project because this is my best project and I am not a good drawing . I think it is my best work because  it is a new thing that I worked my best on.img_3781

Summer Book Review

Percy Jackson

The Lightning Thief

By Rick Riordan

I read Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan. There are many different settings in this book like the Underworld and the Empire State Building. It mostly takes place in modern day New York and California. The main characters are Percy Jackson son of Poseidon, Annabeth daughter of Athena, Grover the satyr and the Greek Gods. Percy is a troublemaker, Annabeth is really smart and Grover is the peacemaker of the group.  After Hades accuses Percy of stealing Zeus’ Master Bolt, Percy must go on a quest with Grover and Annabeth to find and return the master bolt to Zeus before a huge war between the Gods breaks free.

Percy has no idea that Hades accused him of stealing the Master Bolt and is hunting him down until a Minotaur tries to kill him. Percy kills the Minotaur and goes to Camp Half Blood where he discovers that he is a Demi-God. Percy, Annabeth and Grover leave camp to go on a quest to return Zeus’ Master Bolt. In the Underworld, Hades accuses Percy of stealing the Master Bolt and his Helm of Darkness. However, Percy doesn’t have the Helm of Darkness and realizes that he’s being set up by Ares who snuck the Master Bolt into Percy’s backpack. Percy meets Ares on a beach to fight him. Ares uses the Helm of Darkness to try to fight Percy, but Poseidon uses one of his minions to help Percy fight. Percy wins, and goes to the Empire State Building which is where one of Mount Olympus’ hiding spots is. Percy returns the Master Bolt to Zeus in the knick of time. Percy meets his dad and is disappointed in his dad because he left his mom. In exchange for what Percy did, returning the Helm of Darkness to Hades, Hades grants Percy’s mom back to life because “Even the Lord of Death pays his debts” (pg. 345). After all that hard work, Percy decides to go back home and live with his mom.

I love the book Percy Jackson. I love it so much because there is so much action going on in the book. Another reason why I like this book so much is that it keeps you on the edge of your seat and you never know what’s coming next. The last reason I like this book is that it makes you feel like you are experiencing the same thing that Percy is doing during his quest. I think that a person who likes to read action and adventure books would like this series. Last but not least I would rate this book ★★★★★ because it is very interesting and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.
