Classroom Citizenship

This trimester I feel that I have done a good job with classroom citizenship. I have been an ally and been helpful within the classroom by participating in class and being respectful of materials. I have been respectful in class and have not caused distractions. Overall, I feel that I am a good classroom citizen.

Eye Drawing

This is a picture that was taken of my eye drawing a couple weeks ago. Since then I have drawn in skin and eyelashes. I am now done with my drawing. It was really fun to draw the eyelashes, especially in big clumps. If I could change one thing about my eye drawing it would be the creases under the eye (not pictured) they look a bit rigid. I would blend them out a bit or use a lighter pencil because they are too dark.

Hi all! Since my dear Hamir died, I did not want to put all this knoweledge to waste. So, I am so glad to be sharing part two of my most popular blog post: Wedding planning 101!  I am so glad my expert knowledge helped some of you! \ Hopefully this will be helpful too! Soak it up people! This stuff is genius!

Step #2 Get your dowry ready to go

If you don’t have a dowry when you’re about to get married, chances are he’s gonna call it off. So, my advice to you is, have your dowry ready to go right when you get in engaged. Word to the wise, if there is livestock in your dowry, keep it safe! I had a camel in my dowry who got a snake bite and died because she wasn’t being watched- “I understand that this baby and his mother were to be a part of Phulan’s dowry.” Pg. 18.

That’s all for now folks! Like and comment on this post for a part 3!

Wedding Planning 101 By: Phulan

Hello! I’m Phulan and today I will be teaching you the basics of planning a wedding. My wedding with Hamir is coming up and in the months we’ve been planing I’ve learned so much about how to plan weddings, so now I will share my knowledge with you!

Step #1 ‘I CAN’T DO THIS ON MY OWN!’

The key to planning a great wedding is simple- putting your built-in team of workers to use. What? I don’t have my own team of workers, you say? Well think again, silly! They know you better than anyone- they’re your family! My Mama and Auntie are working on my wedding dress for me; “Mama sits with yards of yellow silk in her lap, stitching one of Phulan’s wedding dresses.” Pg. 2 – and of course my parents are paying my dowry. I’m all set!

Arizona & Minnesota

After winter break this year I got gerbils from Dan! Their names are Arizona and Minnesota. I named Arizona because of the sandy orange color on her back. I named Minnesota because I just like the name Minnesota. They are so cute and I love them!
