NASA Space Museum

Over break I went to Houston and the NASA Space Museum. We went on a tour of the campus of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. While there we saw a work space where they create and test various space equipment and sent it to NASA. This is a picture of Orion which is a space pod that will send astronauts food and water while they’re in space on explorations. We also saw used space shuttles. We got to go inside one of the shuttles and see how astronauts live in space. They  have to strap themselves to a wall if they want to go to sleep because there is no gravity in space. In the museum there was also a plane simulator and space ship simulator. In the plane simulator you try to fire a targets to get points and the other person controls the ship. If you turn the ship a certain way the ship change directions and sometimes the capsule would flip upside down. In the space ship simulator you ride around the galaxy in a “space ship” and at one point you go at lighting speed. Overall I had a great time at the Museum and I learned a lot about air and space.
