There is a gay man named George Montauge who lives in Brighton, England. He had his ups and downs in life. When he was a kid, his parents were poor and his dad worked as a gardener and his mother did laundry. He knew early on that he was different from everybody else but he tried to hide it because back then it was illegal to be gay. When he was older, he got married because everybody else was doing it and he didn’t want to be the odd one out. He tried to make his wife happy but even she knew that he liked men. They had a long marriage and had 3 kids. He was always afraid of being arrested by the police because he was gay and then one day he was arrested. Now years later, he wants an apology because he never did anything wrong and he has been happily married to a man for the past 21 years.

This is important to me because I feel that all people should have the right to love who they desire and should never  be afraid of showing who they are.
