Gun Violence Post

Hi everyone,

In class today we had a MLK assembly about gun violence and gun safety.  We learned that people have too much assess to guns. We heard a speech from President Obama said about gun violence and how we should control it. He said that “if a finger print can open your phone, why can’t we do that with guns?” He also spoke about guns being left in the wrong place where children can mistakenly use them.

After school, I had a conversation with my mom about gun violence. We both agreed that there should be no guns anywhere in the world. We understand that the exception might be for policemen and women and members of the armed forces.  We understand that hunting is a sport but if someone lies and uses a gun for another reason, it can cause major problems.  We came to ending point in our talk that if no one had guns, then there would much less gun violence and murders.
