Who the heck are you so far

I chose to interview my mom because she has had some very interesting experiences in her life, especially about traveling. I have not interviewed her yet but I have a feeling that when I do interview her things will not go as planned. I may have to stray off from the script of questions that I created. The reason I think this will happen is because she gives really long answers for really simple questions. That is one of the reasons that I chose to interview her.

Also, I focused my questions on the places that she lived. Hopefully she will tell me some interesting answers and stories. She will actually probably give me too many answers so I might only choose 30% of the answers that she gives me. But I also added some fun questions to loosen her up a bit if there are some answers that she feels are a little uncomfortable. Like how she and her best friend met.

Here is my questions script. It might be a little long but that is a good thing because she may give some short answers and I don’t want to suddenly stop the interview and say, “Sorry that was my last question, goodbye.”

Anyway here it is.

What are your interests?

What is your most bizarre talent?

Where were you born?

Did you grow up there?

Why did you move all the time?

Were you able to sustain friendships while you were moving all the time?

Did you like moving a lot?

What was your relationship with your siblings like?

What was your favorite place that you lived at over the years?

Have you ever had any scary experiences as a child or young adult?

Do you sometimes resent your dad making you move all the time or do you understand why he had to?
What was your relationship with your siblings like?

I am looking forward to interviewing her. Hopefully she give me some good material to work with for my piece.
