Beowulf Annotations

We annotated the book Beowulf as we read it. We would underline important pieces of information, circle vocabulary words and look them up. In the end we would write a chapter summary. If we wanted to ask a question in the book we would point an arrow towards the part we have a question about and write the question above the arrow.

Annotating is important because if you have any assignments or anything of the sort you can know what happens in each chapter because of the chapter summary. You will also expand your vocabulary by circling words you don’t know. If you underlined things you could bring it up in a discussion about the chapter.

I think that I did a really good job on my chapter summaries because they are very clear and detailed. I want to improve on defining my vocabulary. I would circle them, but sometimes for some reason I skipped the dictionary search.
