Lemonade Stand Reflection

One day I decided to make a lemonade stand with my friend, Bridgette. We had been waiting  forever to make one. After we set it up, we got our first sale in just a few minutes. The customer had been in her car, and was getting  her money out. As we were getting  lemonade for her, we started a traffic jam!  I rushed over to get the money from her. She had given us ten dollars, and left in disgust.

 

After about an hour, we only had twelve dollars in sales. We had hit a low point in sales, so we started brainstorming ideas for more customers. We  deiced to put pigtails  in our hair to look younger. We thought the adults that  came would feel pity on us if we were younger. Unfortunately, it did not turn out well because  we were too tall. After we tried some other ideas,  we got tired and packed up.

 

From this experience, I  learned  that you need to come prepared to sell lemonade because you need fresh ideas. It was a funny, but crazy  time. Next summer I hope to do it again with a new plan. I want to also sell something different, like toys.I think that having   2 people also helps make it more enjoyable and  that’s why I want to do it again.

Hero Essay

Heroes are loyal and kind they stick with you. ake you you laugh when you are sad and they will bring you back up. Heros are always going to be there when you need them and they stand by your side no matter what. Ulysses was a warrior fighting for his greatness and trying hard but he could never be as humble as my classmate Dora. Dora is not in a book but she still is amazing. Ulysses strength was deep and Dora’s words are powerful in a humble way.

 

 

Ulysses was not a hero, he is a warrior. He is part of a angry crew. Ulysses uses savagery. He was not kind or compassionate. He is a strong monster. Ulysses sailed to the Ciconians  who had done nothing bad, Ulysses said, “it looks tempting” he was going to raid the town. This is an example of Ulysses being savage and not using his mind or heart for others. Even though Ulysses is strong he struggles with kindness and the ability to forgive.

 

 

Dora, in my class is always herself no matter what. She loves helping out and that is a heroic. When you are sad she is loving and supportive. When I had fell down at recess ora said it was okay and it made me feel great. Dora is always there for you. She is loyal from the heart. She shows herself in an amazing way and you can’t change that.

 

 

Gabby Douglas is a hero for her strong heart. Even in hard times she’s super passionate about herself and others. Gabby believes you can  do anything if you try hard enough. Gabby said, “don’t give up” to the world and for her courage in gymnastics she has helped other athletes. This is amazing and it makes you feel good in life to be encouraged to do great things. Gabby is a hero and she has a pure heart to go with it.

 

 

Heroes can be different and unique from each other. What if there were no heroes? There would be no stopping the Taliban for sure. I thought that a hero had to have powers like superman. Malala made a big difference, she did not need to fly, she used speech instead. Heros are loyal to other heros because they are inspired by each other. There are a lot of heroes and you can be one to.

Screen Shot 2015-06-01 at 6.41.05 PMIn Cooking and Food, we had a pie competition, and whoever makes the best pie wins. We made an apple pie with a strawberry and sugar on top . It was really fun to bake and make pie. We also had the glory of winning. It was fun doing this activity, and I learned a lot of baking skills  from it. I hope to do it again.
