“Trees”

Trees

Tall proud

Pitching swinging dancing,

In the wind

Endlessly.

I chose this poem because I really like the description in it. I think it has a lot of imagery which I like. I started by choosing a certain type of poem. I chose cinquain. There are a couple different kinds of cinquain. The one I used has the form:

Line1: 1 noun

Line2: 2 adjectives

Line 3: 3 -ing words

Line 4: 1 phrase

Line 5: Another word for the noun

Then I picked a topic: Trees. I looked out the window at the trees. I noticed how they moved in the wind, and how it never seemed to stop completely. I wrote this poem based on the trees outside the window.

I’m really proud of this piece.
