Coronavirus is a virus that infects humans’ respiratory systems. When it’s mild, it’s like the flu, but at its worst, it can be deadly. It began in China, killed 100 people, and 4,500 people fell ill from it. It has now spread to other places too. In the US it has only been reported in 4 states so far – California, Illinois, Arizona, and Washington. However, the Coronavirus is not a big threat to people living in New York, and officials have said to remain calm – there’s no reason to panic. Currently, the illness that has a bigger threat to the citizens of New York is one much more common – the flu. There have been over 57,000 cases of the flu in New York this season. To prevent sicknesses like the flu remember to wash your hands, and clean your homes/at school. There’s no need to worry, but remember to stay healthy!
