Tonight, Thursday, April 23rd, New Yorkers have scheduled to sing ‘Lean On Me’ by Bill Withers. If you didn’t know already, every night at 7pm New Yorkers cheer outside their windows to honor hospital workers switching swifts. This is referred to as “Clap because we care.” A few nights ago, New Yorkers sang ‘New York, New York’ by Frank Sinatra. If you would like to watch, click here.
This is made possible by Peace of Heart Choir. You can find more about them here. The Peace of Heart Choir hosts a Facebook Live after the “Clap because we care.” If would like to participate, join the facebook live a few minutes after seven. Even if you are currently outside the city, spread the word! Even in these crazy, uncertain times, we can come together as a community to support those on the front line. Stay safe everyone!
