A Recap of Seventh Grade and What Is To Come
This year in seventh grade we have had a blast. We started the year learning about Colonial times and learning about Powhatans, English Colonists, and Kongolese. We took an amazing trip to Williamsburg, VA, and learned so much. In the middle of the year, we learned about McCarthyism and the Salem Witch Trials. We acted out the Crucible, it was so much fun to see our classmates playing different characters! At the end of the year, we learned about the Constitution, America’s freedom, and did a court case about the First Amendment. We went to a real court and argued our cases. The First Amendment won in both classes. We are so excited for the new adventures eighth grade will bring. These include the social justice project and learning about different movements across our nation and the globe. As well as going on our world language trips to France or Quebec, Spain, and unfortunately not China because they went this year. As a current seventh grade rep, I am so enthused to lead middle school meeting and be a leader in the middle school next year. The Weekly Knights has been such an incredible experience and I encourage many others to join. This year went by so fast and has been one of the best. Many of us have amazing plans for summer: going to the beach, going to camp, relaxing, hanging out with friends and family, I’m so excited to see everyone again in the fall. Have an amazing summer!
