It was well known last year that the Obama family signed a deal with Netflix in addition to having a production company called “Higher Ground Productions” and the question that many have been asking is what’s going on? Well, now we know a lot more about the new projects! Today they announced some of the projects they will be releasing on Netflix. Some include: a documentary about a Chinese billionaire who opens a new factory in the remains of a General Motors plant in Ohio called, “American Factory”. Another is a movie adaptation of the biography “Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom,”  by David W. Blight. The book just won this year’s Pulitzer Prize for history. Finally there is a series for children around the age of preschool that travels the globe to illustrate the story of our food called, “Listen to Your Vegetables and Eat Your Parents”!

Aside from the Obama’s Netflix originals, there is another Netflix film coming out today called “Knock Down the House” is a documentary about how four women, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, Paula Jean Swearingen and Amy Vilela and their journey to goverment office!
